Why Sperry’s? Well, from the friendly and welcoming service that starts at the front door and continues all through the dining experience, to the dark wood interior and Old English atmosphere, to the delicious steaks, the always amazing salad bar, to the best French Onion Soup anywhere and desserts like Bananas Foster and Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake, everything at Sperry’s is exactly what you look for in a great local steak house. Did I mention the Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake for dessert? Two locations, in Belle Meade (615-353-0809) and Cool Springs (615-778-9950), with the interiors virtually indistinguishable and the consistency of the food remarkable. The Cool Springs location also offers a great Sunday brunch option from 10:30 to 3 pm. Be sure to check out the private rooms and the comfy and inviting bar where the appetizers, beverages and conversation are always flowing! One of my favorite steakhouses anywhere, not just Nashville. | Prime 108 is one of the best kept dining secrets in Nashville, but it won’t be for long! Located in the stunningly restored 100 year old Union Station Hotel, the décor of the lobby and the restaurant will literally take your breath away. (The Prime 108 Bar makes you feel like you are in some swanky NYC club!) But take a deep breath and then enjoy what Southern Living Magazine’s Wanda McKinney has described as “dining to die for”. Prime 108 is the place in Nashville for the ultimate “power breakfast”…with Praline French Toast, Crab Cake Benedict and Over-stuffed Omelet among my favorites. If you can’t get a deal done over breakfast at Prime 108 it wasn’t worth doing! For lunch and dinner I start with the roasted duck gumbo or maybe the crab salad. The Cowboy Bone-in Ribeye or Prime Filet are my choices for steak; the Lobster Ravioli will have everybody at the table asking for a taste…and probably a second. And please, PLEASE save room for desert…you won’t be disappointed! (WEBSITE) (MAP) |

| PIZZA | |
| The secret to great Italian food is FRESH! You can taste the difference. At Mozzarella Pizzeria and Restaurant the fresh ingredients that Chef D uses leap all over your taste buds! I love the spicy Cajun Chicken Alfredo. The lasagna actually makes you want to lick the plate! I have no hesitancy saying that their gourmet pizza is the best in town – because it is! The premium mozzarella cheese that they load onto every pizza makes you feel like you are in a tug of war with each piece! The dough and their sauces are made DAILY and the vegetable toppings are cut fresh each day as well. Whether you dine in or order for delivery, Mozzarella is THE place for pizza AND PASTA in Nashville. It is one of the best kept secrets in Nashville, but not for long. Right next to the Hermitage Post Office it is worth the trip from wherever you live. Be sure to tell Z and his team I sent you! (WEBSITE) (MAP) |

| SPORTS BARS | |
| If you are looking for the best sports bar in Nashville there is only ONE choice. Well, actually there are TWO — and soon there will be a THIRD! (Hillsboro Village, Indian Lakes in Hendersonville and coming to Stones River Mall in Murfreesboro!) But the answer is still Sam’s Sports Grill. Sam’s is the ultimate sky box for watching a game…or games, except you don’t have to worry about parking or traffic! The food is great, the atmosphere is fun and friendly, and the service is exceptional! Sam’s has been voted the best sports bar in Nashville for ten years in a row! Maxim Magazine named Sam’s one of the 16 best sports bars in the entire country for watching a game. Bleacher Reports says it is THE place to watch the Titans! So what are you waiting for? There’s a game worth watching at Sam’s RIGHT NOW! (WEBSITE) (MAP) |
