Some of the Common Core proponents have scoffed at the characterization of Common Core being part of the radical pro-gay, pro-illegal alien, etc. agenda of the Left. Really? Jesse Register is the Supt. of Schools for Davidson County Tennessee. He is on SCORE's Board of Advisors. He is a strong proponent of Common Core. He sent this out on his official email, meaning taxpayers paid for it, with a link to a pro-illegals site included. Is Common Core part of the pro-illegal alien left wing agenda? Their proponents certainly are, as are other groups they promote.

In Tennessee, undocumented students pay three times the normal in-state
tuition to attend state schools, even if they have lived here since infancy.
Scholarships and financial aid are also out of reach. Some students even
drop out of high school because they don't see how a diploma will make a
difference when most college and employment opportunities are closed to
them.

That's why the Board of Education has gone on record as supporting
immigration reform.

As elected officials in Washington debate immigration reform, we hope you'll remember these dreamers. Write to Tennessee's U.S. Senators and
Representatives. Tell them you support giving undocumented students a chance at building a future in our country. Tell them to support immigration reform.
