There were a lot of issues besides the 2d Amendment that got Debra Maggart beat; but just as a matter of politics, does she think running around blaming the NRA for going after her after she stabbed gun owners in the back (producing a 16 point defeat) will inspire others to follow her lead? The more her new allies at the Washington Post, and CNN, and the other liberal media outlets point out the power of the NRA in supposedly "killing" her political career doesn't that make the NRA even more feared by those who would want to support the gun grabbing anti 2d amendment agenda of her new friends on the Left? Are there a whole bunch of legislators in Tennessee, for example, clamoring to be the next to get Maggart-ized?
