Whether a politician has a “D” or a “R” after their name it doesn’t matter, insider trading is against the law. The rest of America can’t do it so politicians shouldn’t be able either.

Birmingham, AL (WIAT) – A local activist group is calling for Congressman Spencer Bachus to resign his seat.

Bachus is accused of using knowledge gained through committee assignments in Congress in stock trades made since 2008.

The group “Rainy Day Patriots” is planning to protest outside Bachus’ Birmingham office on Thursday from 12PM to 1PM in hopes that Bachus will resign.
